Phil

My name is Phil, I am 30 years old and I create social media content while traveling full time in my Expedition Truck Camper. I was born in Canada, but when I was 4, my family and I took my first epic road trip, when we moved to Arizona. Ever since then I haven't been able to shake the urge to explore.

I started a Dirtbike shop out of College where we would buy and sell used dirtbikes and parts, we called it Down2Mob. After filling up our garage and backyard with dirtbikes, we moved into a retail location, hired on a few mechanics, and had the time of our lives living the american dream of running our own business. After 3 years, my business partner and I decided to move on to new opportunities and I went into the finance industry. I enjoyed guiding folks through their retirement goals but at the end of the day it made me ask myself what I wanted to do with my life, long term. My answer was I wanted to explore. See new places, have new experiences, but most of all, meet new people. I decided to form a plan to quit my job, saved, downsized, gave stuff away, threw stuff away, and a couple years later I had everything I own packed into the Dodgemahal and hit the road full time. In my first 6 months I have crossed through 3 countries, 9 states and provinces, through 10k miles, and most importantly - made countless lifelong friends along the way. People I could have only imagined meeting. The warmest, most adventurous people I could have hoped to meet. But, this is my Bio, so lets get back to me! I am an adrenaline junky that started on a BMX bike, building jumps after school, graduated to the goped, and eventually the dirtbike. When I was 15 I raced motocross and picked up a few sponsors, but just when things started moving fast, I had a bad crash and spent a year in a wheelchair. After that riding dirtbikes has always been a part of my life, but I've never got fully back into riding. During this time I also rode a lot of freeride and downhill mountain biking, and a big part of me hitting the road full time was to ride some areas I have always dreamed of as a kid. At the end of the day, I just want to enjoy the life I live to the fullest, motivate others to do the same, and have the opportunity to work with and support great people and companies along the way. I am really excited to have you along for the ride of my life. The only question is - are YOU Down2Mob?
