THE CAMPER & SYSTEMS

The camper build started by widening the stock steel frame to house the 40” spare tire. A custom aluminum flat bed was built using 2” square tube, and A 2,000lb. warn winch was installed using pulleys and line running through the aluminum frame to raise and lower the spare. The aluminum frame is based around the rear genright fenders, and was built to get the floor as low as possible. this is the only jeep gladiator with a camper that you can sit, sleep, and be in the camper comfortably with the top down. when the top is popped, it provides 2 extra feet for a total of 6’5”. the pop top is constructed of sunbrella fabric on the inside, with thinsulate insulation in the middle and anti mold vinyl on the outside. The bed sets up in seconds by releasing the yacht style table pedestal quick releases, and pushing the table down. the pads stow under the seat when in table mode, and when in bed mode it makes an almost queen sized bed measuring 56” wide and 76” long, or 6’4”. The bed or table can be left setup while driving, whatever is most convenient for you.

More vehicle details and quirks:

The vehicle is all up to date on service items, just had an oil change, rear diff fluid change and rebuild, brand new air filter installed and tire rotation. The air compressor system currently has an air leak but everything still functions as it should, the compressor just runs while inflating tires. The roof needs a slight push with your hand when raising in the first inch and from there the electric actuators takeover and raise/lower the roof completely. The OEM rear back up camera does not work. I have gotten used to not having it but it could be replaced. Everything else functions at 100% and works just like it did when new. The truck is 100% paid off with no liens and a title that is ready to transfer to its new owner. I have moved out of the vehicle and am no longer living in it. I am still driving it around town so the miles may go up slightly over 65k. I have worked with the best brands possible to ensure that this vehicle was a “one and done” kind of build. I am happy to report that this vehicle and camper has not needed any major changes (other than suspension tuning) since the camper was installed! It was built to be extremely reliable and go anywhere, which it does!
